Ola Gjeilo, 作曲家，钢琴家，1978年出生于挪威，2001年赴纽约茱莉亚音乐学院进修作曲。现以全职作曲家和钢琴家身份活跃于美国音乐界，发行了自己的独奏作品并在世界范围内开展巡演。除音乐外，Ola也钟情于电影，他三称很多创作灵感取自于电影和电影配乐。
虽然为一张钢琴即兴专辑，前三首曲目其实来自于Ola Gjeilo自己的声乐作品； <Ubi Caritas>, <Tota Pulchra Esh>和<Prelude>，由人声演绎的最初版本可以在2012年菲尼克斯合唱团在Chandos旗下发行的唱片<Northern Light>中循迹。为了给一张独奏专辑营造出更加丰富厚实的环绕声，在录制过程中，制作人Morten Lindberg建议Ola尝试在几架不同的钢琴上演奏相同的音乐，并把它们的声音叠加在一起。几乎每一个take都在不同的钢琴上录制，最后经缩混后的声音拥有一种难以描述的环绕感。
专辑以DXD标准录制，母带参数高达352.8kHz/24bit，索尼精选提供版本为192kHz/24bit。
