Percy Grainger的原始演奏录音在Rolf Gupta指挥的Kristiansand交响乐团的环绕声唱片中得以还原。格里格本人就确认了Grainger演奏版本的准确性：“我活了64岁，第一次听到挪威钢琴音乐被演绎得如此有灵性。他为他自己、为我、为挪威打开了新世界，那迷人的、深刻的、严肃的，和孩童般的自然！有这种优秀的年轻朋友真叫人开心啊！”
2007年，指挥Rolf Gupta与遗嘱中定的澳大利亚传奇钢琴家Percy Grainger（1882-1961）合作，首次演绎格里格的a小调钢琴协奏曲的挪威版本。在这张唱片中，Kristiansand交响乐团为Grainger具有争议的原始录音伴奏。另外，小提琴家Øyvind Bjorå与钢琴家Rex Lawson演奏了格里格的c小调小提琴协奏曲。专辑还包括格里格的一些歌曲，由作曲家本人演过。令人震惊的是，这些录音到现在才向公众露面。
