英国出生的菲律宾裔女歌手卡儿（本名Chlara Isobel Magtultol），不但有一副宛如天籁般的绝美嗓音，也弹得一手好吉他，更能创作词曲，才华洋溢的她年纪轻轻就展露头角绝非偶然。因为早年在英国成长的关系，卡儿的英语发音非常标准，诠释起英文歌曲更是完全无障碍。虽然热爱音乐的父亲在她两岁的时后就过世，但却把对音乐的热情遗传给她。三岁的小卡儿就开始学习音乐，跟着妈妈一起聆听Michael Jackson、Stevie Wonder、Air Supply、The Carpenters、Christina Aguilera、Whitney Houston，以及Celine Dion等超级巨星的歌曲。之后她正式进入歌唱学校，11岁开始接触吉他，也在 YouTube上观摩其他人的弹奏自我精进。在进入大学之前，她已经开始了自己的创作，Evosound唱片听了她的歌声之后惊为天人，立刻与她签约，并将其歌曲选录在《爱情万岁！全球美声歌后精选》中，实力非凡可见一斑。
